I've been thinking about making a NCAA style tournament to find the greatest driving song of all time. I can't do this alone, (well not with this attitude I can't) so I could use help. We must gather the top 64 songs and pair them down to one. So, who wants to help, or should I just stop thinking about such nonsense?

This is a really awesome idea for a series! The only issues I see are a) we must first define what a driving song is and then b) decide which songs make the cut to be part of the initial 64. Top Gear had this exact same kind of poll several years ago, maybe we could pull some songs off their list to get started.

Maybe, maybe not. I would like to have all types, and if we could encourage people to vote not for the song that they like, but the song that is best to drive to.

There will be songs from it, but there are so many people here who love all types of music that finding 64 songs will be easy. A good driving song is one that encourages you to push the car until it all merges together into perfection. You go with the tempo, beat and melody.
